SPLIT

Konečně jsem se po X letech vydala na dovolenou, a to konkrétně do Chorvatska.

Mnozí z vás již určitě viděli fotky na Instagramu a Facebooku, kde jsem trochu spamovala. Nicméně dovolenou jsem začali právě ve Splitu, odkud jsme pak následně jeli na Brač a i na denní trip na Hvar (to ale až v dalších článcích.)

Many of you must have seen the photos on Instagram and Facebook, where I spammed a bit. However, we started my vacation in Split, from where we then went to Brac and also on a day trip to Hvar (but that's for future articles).

Split tedy byl jakousi naší základnou, kde jsem ze začátku strávili asi 4 dny a ke konci pak necelé dva dny. 

Musím říci, že za tu dobu jsme si Split prošli do podrobna.

V den, kdy jsme přijeli jsme se jen tak toulali městem a šli na večeři. Další ráno jsme ale vyrazili na kopec Marjan, který jsem prošli až k největšímu vrcholu. Ten výhled určitě stál za to a vřele doporučuji se na Marjan vydat, pokud budete ve Splitu.

So Split was our base, where we spent about 4 days at the beginning and less than two days at the end. 

I have to say that during that time we really explored Split in detail.

The day we arrived we were just wondering around the city and went for the dinner. But the next morning we went to Marjan Hill, where we walked up to the highest peak. The view was definitely worth it and I highly recommend going to Marjan if you're in Split.

Neopomenuli jsem ani historickou část, kdy jsem si druhý večer vylezli na věž, odkud byl skvělý výhled. Schválně jsme směřovali vyhlídku na západ, protože v ten čas je to nejhezčí světlo a přece jen jsme #sunsetlovers.

We didn't even forget about the historical part of Split and the second evening we visited the Tower Bell with an amazing view.

We tried to go there for sunset as the light is the best by that time and we are also #sunsetlovers. 

V lístku na Bell Tower jsem měli ještě Tresury a katedrálu, kam jsme se vydali následující ráno.

Naše odpoledne ve Splitu byly většinou ve znamení koupání v moři, jelikož co si budeme, bylo doopravdy vedro.

Druhý den jsem vyzkoušeli pláž s pískem - Bacvice Beach, ale ta nás popravdě nijak neuchvátila. Nicméně ten třetí den jsme se vydali na opačnou stranu a došli na Kastelet Beach, kam jsem následně chodili celou dovču ve Splitu. Ta oproti Bacvice byla ale už kamínková, ale spíše takové oblázky, které tolik nevadily.

Ve Splitu jsem vyzkoušeli i řadu jídel a restaurací, kdy za nás na první čáře vyhrává restaurace Silk. Jde o asijskou restauraci, kde jsem si konečně dala Katsu Curry, Mirek si dal Pad Thai a musím říci, že asi nejlepší Pad Thai, který jsem kdy ochutnala. Normálně bych si ho dala jako konzerva taky, ale chtěla jsme právě vyzkoušet něco nového a Katsu Curry mě dlouho lákalo.

Další super restaurací bylo pak Toto's, kde jsme si daly burgary a tortily. Stejně jako Misto street food, kde jsem si dala burger a rozmarýnové brambory a Mirek tortily plněné špenátem a těstoviny a bylo to naprosto epický! Stejně jako víno a drinky tam.

The tickets to the Bell Tower also included the Tresury and the Cathedral, which we went to the next morning.

Our afternoons in Split were mostly just about swimming in the sea and chill, as to be honest it was really hot every day of our holiday.

The second day of ours we tried a beach with sand - Bacvice Beach, but it honestly didn't impress us. However, on the third day we went to the other beach in a different direction called Kastelet Beach, where we were coming back the rest of the holiday. Compared to Bacvice, it was a bit pebbly, but the pebbles really didn't bother us so much.

We also tried a number of meals and restaurants in Split, with the Silk restaurant is definitely the winner for us. It's an Asian restaurant where I finally tried out Katsu Curry and Mirek ordered Pad Thai and I have to say it was probably the best Pad Thai I've ever tasted. Normally I would have ordered it as well as I am a conservative person and eat the food I like over and over again, but I just wanted to try something new and Katsu Curry had been tempting me for a long time.

Then Toto's was also another cool restaurant where we had burgers and tortillas. As well as Místo Street Food where I had a burger and rosmary potatoes and Mirek had some tortillas filled with spinach and pasta . All the food was absolutely epic, as well as the wine and drinks there.

Když už mluvíme o drincích, musíte navštívit Ka-Kantun, který jsme si zamilovali a kde jsem si dokonce i já dala gin, mňam!

První večer jsme zašli do jedné z pizzerií na těstoviny a bylo to vůbec poprvé, kdy jsem vracela jídlo, jelikož těstoviny byly nedovařené, na podruhé už dobré, ale ještě mi to číšník podal jako nějakému debilovi co si stěžuje, takže to za mě fakt ne. Jednalo se o Pizzerii Portas.

Split bych rozhodně doporučila najdete zde super podniky i místa, ale pokud se nechcete jen válet u moře, určitě stačí tak tři dny a pak přesun na jeden z ostrovů, který je poblíž, případně do jiného města.

My ještě chtěli zajet do Klis Fortress poslední den ráno, ale co nám to zrušil třetí uber, tak jsme se na to vykašlali. Stejně jako si určitě dejte pozor na ATM bankomaty a vybírejte v normálních bankách.

Speaking of drinks, you have to visit Ka-Kantun, which we absolutely loved and where I even ordered the drink containing gin, yum!

The first night we went to one of the pizzerias for pasta and it was the first time I ever returned a dish as the pasta was uncooked, the second plate of pasta was good but the waiter brought that to me with a horrible face that I dared to say this about their pasta, so didn't enjoy that visit at all. By the way the name of the restaurant Pizzeria Portas.

I would recommend Split for visiting. You are able to find interesting restaurants and bars as well as places. However if you are not really into chilling by the sea all the time, I would say visit Split just for like three days and then get yourself over to another island around or into a different city.

Also we wanted to visit Klis Fortress where the Game of Thrones took place, but when the third driver of uber cancelled our drive we just gave up. As well as be aware of ATMs and rather take money from normal banks instead.
