A v přesně takovém duchu se nesl i minulý víkend přes Velikonoce, kdy jsme navíc měli dva dny volna.
Konkrétně v neděli a v pondělí jsme se vydaly na výlet do Bratislavy. V neděli jsme si udělaly výlet na Děvín, který je asi 20 minut od Bratislavy, a pondělí patřilo jen centru.
Děvín určitě doporučuju, protože, jak už zaznělo, je to fakt kousek od města a skvělý výlet – jak samotný areál, tak i procházka okolo vydají klidně na celé dopoledne. V areálu v pohodě strávíte hodinu až hodinu a půl, zvlášť pokud se tam zastavíte i na kafe a užijete si to. Není to jen samotný hrad, ale můžete dojít i k pozůstatkům kostela a Bratislavské bráně.
Pod hradem pak najdete památník Brány svobody a Železné opony, soutok Moravy a Dunaje a okolo hradu třeba i Srdce Evropy, Panenskou věž nebo maják Děvín.
V centru jsem pak upřímně fotila hlavně jen procházku na hrad a park Sad Janka Kráľa.
And that was exactly the vibe of last weekend during Easter, when we also had two extra days off.
Specifically, on Sunday and Monday we went on a trip to Bratislava. On Sunday, we took a trip to Devín, which is about 20 minutes from Bratislava, and Monday was dedicated purely to the city center.
I definitely recommend Devín because, as mentioned, it’s really close to the city and makes for a great trip – both the site itself and the surrounding walk can easily fill an entire morning. You can comfortably spend an hour to an hour and a half in the area, especially if you stop for a coffee and just enjoy it. It’s not just the castle itself – you can also walk to the remains of a church and the Bratislava Gate.
Below the castle, you’ll find the Gate of Freedom memorial and the Iron Curtain memorial, the confluence of the Morava and Danube rivers, and around the castle you can also see the Heart of Europe, the Maiden’s Tower, or the Devín lighthouse.
In the city center, I was honestly mostly taking photos during a walk up to the castle and in Sad Janka Kráľa park.
