Už se blížíme pomalu ke konci, ale ještě tu máme Volterru a San Gimignano.
Do Volterry jsme od hotelu šly jen a jen do kopce, kdy jsme prošli bránou a byli už na jedné z hlavních uliček vedoucí do centra města. Cestou jsme minuly malý kostelík, až jsme došli na výhled Belveder.
Od výhledů jsem se naopak přemístili schody dolu k pramenů a zase dalšími schody Scalinata di Docciola opět nahoru - zadek od tý doby máme určitě všichni kulatější.
Hned na to jsme za chvíli došli k Roman Theatre, kam jsme si kupovali lístky i dovnitř areálu. A i přesto, že máte super výhled nad celým divadlem, jelikož nad ním vede cesta, tak vstup dovnitř i tak stojí za to, jelikož vám to prostě poskytne jiný, lepší úhel.
No a cestou už jsme šli na hlavní náměstí Palazzo Pretorio, kde se natáčel i díl Stmívání, nicméně ta hlavní budova z filmu není úplně real, nicméně ona věž tam je, ale prostě neodpovídá vůbec 100% realitě.
Kousek od hlavního náměstí se nachází viewpoint, odkud doporučuji opravdu výhled. Pak už následoval jen oběd, kdy jsme našli super takovou pekárnu, kde jsme si dali místní focacciu a pak ještě mamka s bráchou šli do podzemní části města, a já čekala s Mayou poblíž, jelikož pejsi bohužel neměli dovolený vstup.
Po Volteřře jsme zajeli ještě do San Gimignana, kde bylo teda ale neskutečeněěěěěě moc lidí. Prošli jsem opět hlavní bránou a ulicí, až jsme došli na náměstí Piazza della Cisterna, kde byla snad kilometrová fronta na zmrzlinu, ale vedle toho samozřejmě i fontána a výhled na věž, kam jsme s bráchou šli na výhled. Hned vedle tohoto náměstí je hlavně i Palazzo Comunale Pinacoteca právě s onou Torre Grossa, odkud byl naprosto skvělý výhled. Pak už jen projít Perco della Rocca, mimojiné, i na další výhled a trochu projít město, pokoupit dárečky a ňamky a na véču, na hotel a spát.
Tento výlet byl fakt super a jak jsem zmínila, pomalu, ale jistě jsme u konce, tak co ještě zbývá? Na to si počkej.

We went to Volterra after our trip to Siena, as that's where we had our next accommodation for two days. So we arrived and basically went straight to bed. But in the morning, the city awaited us with great weather.
From the hotel, we walked uphill to Volterra, passed through the gate, and found ourselves on one of the main streets leading to the city center. On the way, we passed a small church until we reached the Belvedere viewpoint.
From the view, we moved down the stairs to the springs and then up the Scalinata di Docciola stairs again - our butts are definitely rounder since then.
Shortly after, we arrived at the Roman Theater, where we bought tickets to enter the complex. And even though you have a great view of the entire theater from above, as there is a path leading above it, it is still worth going inside, as it simply gives you a different, better angle.
On the way, we went to the main square, Palazzo Pretorio, where a scene from Twilight was filmed. However, the main building from the movie is not entirely real. The tower is there, but it does not correspond 100% to reality.
Not far from the main square is a viewpoint, which I highly recommend for the view. Then it was time for lunch, when we found a great bakery where we had local focaccia, and then my mom and brother went to the underground part of the city, and I waited with Maya nearby, as dogs were unfortunately not allowed inside.
After Volterra, we drove to San Gimignano, where there were an incredible number of people. We walked through the main gate and down the street again until we reached Piazza della Cisterna, where there was a kilometer-long line for ice cream, but of course there was also a fountain and a view of the tower, where my brother and I went to enjoy the view. Right next to this square is the Palazzo Comunale Pinacoteca with the Torre Grossa, from where there was an absolutely great view. Then we just walked through Perco della Rocca, among other things, to another viewpoint and walked around the city a bit, bought some gifts and snacks, and went to dinner, back to the hotel, and to sleep.
This trip was really great, and as I mentioned, we are slowly but surely coming to the end, so what else is left? Wait and see.
