FLORENCIE

Po kratší odmlce jsem opět zde... tentokrát s Florencií. 

Nevýhodou, že se k tomu zase celkově dostávám až po měsíci je, že si nepamatuji už takové detaily, nebo si to alespoň myslím. Ale jdeme na to. Den ve Florencii jsme začali na Piazzale Michelangelo, kde jsme, mimojiné, i náš den skončili. Ale o tom až potom. 

Na tomto náměstí je krásný výhled na celou Florencii a zároveň se na něm dříve nacházela socha samotného Davida. I nyní ji tam najdete, ale ne samozřejmě onen originál. Po pokochání se výhledy jsme směřovali už do města, kde jsme začali u Paláce Pitti a pokračovali k mostu zlatníků - Ponte Vecchi a pokračovali až k Piazza  della Signoria. 

V podstatě jsme "vymetli" všechny náměstí a to i včetně následujícího Della Reppublica, až jsme konečně došli k highlightu Florencie - Katedrále Stanta Maria del Fiore - která je naprosto nádherná - neuvěřitelná stavba. 

Na seznamu byly ještě dvě baziliky - di San Lorenzo & Santa Maria Novella a hurá na oběd, kde jsme si daly super bruschettu, vínko a kávičku. Následovalo hledání dalšího vínka a tentokrát ze známých okýnek ve Florencii. Během hledání jsme došly až k bazilice Santa of Croce. Jelikož jsme se právě ještě před obědem s bráchou rozdělily, prošly jsme ještě s mamkou přes most alle Grazie, kroužily okolo poslední zmíněné baziliky a celkově si nějak uživaly ulice a vibe Florencie. 

Po tom, co jsme se s bráchou sešly byl už jen jediný plán, a to večere - tam jsem si dali masové koule s bramborama, těstoviny s masovými koulemi a těstoviny s pepřovou omáčkou. Totálně nacpaný jsme ještě prošli parkem, zastavili se opět na vyhlídce už hezky za tmy a viděli Florencii zase trochu jinak a hurá na ubytko.

Další den už byl totiž přesun do Montepulciana, těšíš se?

The disadvantage of coming back to this after a month is that I don't remember all the details, or at least I think so. But let's get started. We started our day in Florence at Piazzale Michelangelo, where, among other things, we ended our day. But more on that later. 

This square offers a beautiful view of the whole of Florence and used to be home to a statue of David itself. You can still find it there, but of course it's not the original. After enjoying the views, we headed into the city, where we started at the Pitti Palace and continued to the Ponte Vecchio, the bridge of the goldsmiths, and on to Piazza della Signoria. 

We basically "swept" all the squares, including the next one, Della Reppublica, until we finally reached the highlight of Florence - the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore - which is absolutely beautiful - really incredible building. 

There were two more basilicas on the list—di San Lorenzo & Santa Maria Novella—and then it was off to lunch, where we had some great bruschetta, wine, and coffee. This was followed by a search for more wine, this time from the famous wine windows in Florence. During our search, we ended up at the Basilica of Santa Croce. Since my brother and we had just split up before lunch, my mom and I walked across the Ponte alle Grazie bridge, circled around the latter basilica, and generally enjoyed the streets and vibe of Florence. 

After we met up with my brother, we had only one plan left, and that was dinner - we had meatballs with potatoes, pasta with meatballs, and pasta with pepper sauce. Totally stuffed, we walked through the park, stopped again at the viewpoint, now nicely dark, and saw Florence in a slightly different light, and then headed back to our accommodation.
